What Is Ceramic Coating?

Not a wax. Not a sealant. A permanent bond.

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with your vehicle’s paintwork, creating a semi-permanent protective layer that wax and sealants simply cannot replicate.

Once cured, the coating is hydrophobic — water, dirt, and contaminants bead and roll off the surface rather than bonding to the paint. UV protection prevents oxidation and fading. The result is paint that stays cleaner, longer, and looks better for years.

Decontamination Wash

Iron decontamination, clay bar, and thorough hand wash prepares a clean surface for correction.

Paint Correction

Machine polish removes swirl marks and defects — the coating must bond to flawless paint.

Panel Prep

IPA (isopropyl alcohol) wipe-down removes all polishing oils, leaving a perfectly clean substrate.

Coating Application

How long does ceramic coating last?

Our Zirconite packages offer 4-year and 8-year protection, backed by an annual inspection warranty. Longevity depends on maintenance — following our aftercare guide will maximise the coating’s lifespan.

Does my car need paint correction first?

Yes — and it’s the most important step before any coating. Paint correction isn’t just about removing scratches; it’s the most thorough way to strip the surface of all embedded contaminants, oxidation, and microscopic impurities that washing alone can’t reach. Even brand-new vehicles carry factory swirl marks. Coating over an uncorrected surface permanently seals those defects in. Both packages include a 1-step correction to ensure the ceramic bonds to a truly clean, flawless substrate.

Can I wash my car after coating?

We recommend waiting a full week before washing — 24 hours is the absolute minimum for the cure to set. After that, washing is significantly easier and the surface performs far better than uncoated paint. We provide a full aftercare guide with recommended washing methods to protect the coating long-term.

Does it protect against scratches?

Ceramic coating adds hardness (9H rating) and reduces light scratching from washing and environmental contact. It won’t protect against keying or heavy stone chips — for that, Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the right solution. We can advise on the best combination for your vehicle.

How long does the application take?

A ceramic coating appointment typically takes 4–6 hours depending on vehicle size and package — smaller cars can be done in as little as 3 hours. The process cannot be rushed, but it’s rarely a full day. The vehicle then needs at least 24 hours (ideally a week) of cure time before being washed.
